Hello and welcome to Chiseled Outdoors. My name is Dustin Strenke and I'm located in Cumberland Wisconsin, which is a very small rural town in the northwestern region of the state. I spend a lot of my time outdoors enjoying God's creation and during my earlier days in the workforce I was blessed by working with my family in the construction industry. It was very evident early on that woodworking was going to be a strong part of my life, but carving wasn't present until several years later. One day the idea of woodcarving popped in my head and initially I was hesitant because I didn't think I had enough artistic talent to do it. Despite my own self doubt I bought a set of gouges and never looked back. Woodcarving is a perfect way to blend my two passions, woodworking and the great outdoors. I'm still learning and growing in the craft with every project that I create, but I believe I'm at a point now where I can share my work and passion with others. Whether it's providing carvings to those that appreciate my work or teaching and showing fellow carvers how I create my projects.
